Shot over the course of a single day, this customer story video for Day One App captures an intimate and authentic portrait of Katie Seaman, a writer and mother who uses journaling as a vital part of her daily life. I directed the shoot using a two-camera Canon C70 setup — one static and one on a slider — to deliver a rich, cinematic look that brought depth and movement to the interview.
We filmed the interview in the morning using natural light and soft key lighting for a warm, human feel. The rest of the day was spent capturing b-roll of Katie’s life at home with her children, journaling, and finding quiet moments of reflection.
